Current Show: Believing is Seeing and Images in Light


Believing is Seeing: Alyssa C. Salomon and Images in Light: Ted Victoria are both featured at 1708 Gallery from June 2nd til July 1st, 2006. Salomon utilizes 19th century process such as daguerreotype, cyanotype and salted paper prints, while Victoria exploits the principles of the camera without even using one. (I took that straight from the press release!)
I love talking to Alyssa about her work - it is evident how much she searches and strives and how much she loves her media - what she can do with light, shadow and chemicals on paper is wizardry.
Anyone else have links to photos of the opening or other reviews to post in the comments or any feedback on exhibition?

Why that big space is there between the images, I have no idea. I will conquer Blogger. But not today.
