Wearable Inlight

1708 Gallery and The Phoenix invite you to a preview of Wearable Inlight, an illuminated fashion show. The preview will take place on Wednesday, September 3rd at 5:30pm on the bar at Can Can Brasserie in Carytown.

The full fashion show, including 30 light-inspired designs, will be part of InLight RICHMOND on September 5th in the First Friday art walk area of West Broad Street. To find out more, go to www.1708inlight.org.

S E D U C T I O N S

Matthew Gehring and Rebecca Murtaugh have finished installing the first show of 1708's fall season with Seductions, which will open on September 5, 2008.

"As an artist couple, we always enjoy having two person shows. We share studios and homes and any room on any given day can be full of either of our works in progress. As a result our processes, ideas, and aesthetics are influenced by each other continuously. The words we most often use in response to each others products are juicy, sexy, and hot. We hope you find these qualities in the work and enjoy the show."
